If you’re looking for a children’s festive book with a twist this Christmas, you won’t go wrong with Christmas Gremlins. A bunch of mischievous gremlins take over the festivities, causing mayhem and chaos. Their mad cap adventures are fantastically told through brilliant rhyming text which will engage the children and have them waiting in anticipation for what will happen next.
Having snuck into the house in the Christmas tree, the gremlins are soon up to no good. Swinging from tinsel, climbing the tree, munching on all the Christmas food and wrapping up the pets… there is no end to their naughtiness! Children will love lifting the flaps to discover the pesky gremlins. Expertly illustrated by Chris Chatterton, the gremlins seem to have their own little personalities and some of the expressions on their faces are hilarious!
Not even the outdoors escapes the mischief-making gremlins.
“They ding-dong all your Christmas bells and wreck your mistletoe.
And when you’re least expecting it… they cover you with snow!”
But when Christmas Eve night time arrives and it’s time to go to sleep, the Gremlins surprisingly nod off… that is after they’ve cleared the chimney, as there’s a bottom in the way! Have the gremlins changed their ways? Find out on Christmas morning!
This book is a real festive treat which children will want to read over and over again. Each time, there’s something new to spot which will keep children entertained and engaged. It’s so hard not to giggle at the Gremlin’s very naughty (but funny!) Christmas antics.
