Childcare Expo London have just announced their bursting educational seminar programme for 3 & 4 March 2017. This will be the first time since the show started that there will be not one, but TWO seminar streams full of insightful industry leaders discussing essential early years topics.
The brand-new Discovery Theatre will host a bundle of the industry’s top names including June O’Sullivan and Gail Ryder Richardson delving into topics of risky play, leadership and men in childcare. Alongside the Discovery Theatre is the Early Years Hub which will be graced with the presence of Jeremy Clarke and Linda Thornton to name a few.
James Hempsall is among the many names visitors can book on to hear from. As the National Programme Director for DfE’s national support contract ‘Childcare Works’, James will guide visitors through the latest developments and what will be coming up in the future. By providing live examples from all types of providers across the country will show how we can all achieve quality practice and financial sustainability.
With the ongoing attention to risky place and getting children outdoors, National Day Nurseries Association will identify the essential role of adults in supporting children to take risks within their play. The seminar will explore the life skills children learn when risks are involved in their everyday play and learning and how to embed good practice across all age groups.
A guaranteed sell-out at the event will be the seminar that reflects on the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood hosted by Linda Thornton of Reflections on Learning and Morleys. This seminar will give a visual portrayal of how the early years sector in the UK has drawn inspiration from the Reggio Approach to childhood, focussing on the physical environment, the use of natural and reclaimed materials, creativity and critical thinking, group learning and documentation.
The inspiring seminars will run from 10:30am and finish at 3:30pm both Friday and Saturday. If you are looking to develop and stay on top of your industry knowledge, then this event is not to be missed.
