Mactivity Activity Zone – Brand New Feature Area!
Mrs Mactivity returns to Childcare Expo Midlands in 2019 with an exciting NEW feature area following the success of the Mrs Mactivity workshop at Childcare Expo London. The feature area will include plenty of ideas and inspiration for Early Years, with hands on activities you can make and keep, to use in your own practice.
Activities include:
Early Years Provocations Demonstration
Do you want to find out more about child led learning? Then this is for you! Mrs Mactivity will be running an all day demonstration of a Reggio Emilia inspired Early Years provocation with accompanying resources and ideas for how to implement this in your setting. Provocations will link to the Early Years Outcomes and Early Learning Goals and will be focused on transient art, weighing and sorting and loose parts play.
MORNING ACTIVITIES
Fishy Phonics – make your own phonics fishing game using Mrs Mactivity’s fishy phonemes! Using the resources provided, follow the instructions (or make up your own!) to create your own fishing rod and magnetic fishy phonemes. Then you can play! Go fishing using your rod to spell out the words provided. A great activity to take back to your classroom or setting.
Animal poo activity – use our playdough mats to make your very own animal poo shapes! When you get back to your setting, challenge your children to figure out which poo belongs to which animal – and why!
AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES
Word making machines – make your very own cvc word making machine with Mrs Mactivity! Using our resources, make a word family activity that creates new words as the “machine” slides up and down. Great fun, and something to take away and use in your setting. When you’re done, make your own phonics chatterbox! Another great idea from Mrs Mactivity.
Animal poo activity – carry on the fun with our animal poo playdough activity!
