The UK’s leading childcare insurance specialist, Morton Michel is undertaking a survey of new nursery businesses. The research project, which is believed to be the first of its kind to focus exclusively on new ventures, comes as the childcare sector undergoes its most significant expansion in years. It is expected to offer a new perspective on the challenges and opportunities for the sector.
Morton Michel, who have been working to insure childcare businesses since 1964 are looking to tap into the wealth of expertise and knowledge their client base represents. Research and Insight manager, Daniel Weir said:
“It is a privilege to be able to work with such a vast number of childcare businesses. We have always found our customers to be extremely generous when it comes to sharing what they have learnt. While we constantly engage with our customers to help develop our own proposition, this project represents something a bit different.
Regardless of who wins the election, the childcare sector will need to expand. That means new businesses opening to meet the increased demand. We know our customers could offer a lot of help to both newcomers to the sector and policymakers, based on their own hard-won experience, and we hope the results of this survey will give everyone access to those insights.”
The survey, which launched on 10th June is not just intended for Morton Michel’s customers. All nurseries that have opened since January 2021 are invited to participate. If successful, Morton Michel hopes to run further surveys in the future, potentially tapping into the expertise of their childminder, out of school club and children’s activity provider customers.
