Record Haul of 4 Awards for Nana’s Manners

Nana’s Manners are celebrating a record haul of 4 Awards in the recent Loved by Children Awards.

The 2018 Awards generated Platinum Awards in the following categories: Best Mealtime Set, Best Feeding Equipment Set and Best New Product to Market. In addition, Nana’s Manners took Gold for Best Innovative Children’s Product 2018.

Through simple, yet effective design the patented knife and fork have been developed to empower children to learn to eat confidently and independently. The cutlery, which recently featured on Dragon’s Den, is only comfortable when held comfortably, as demonstrated on TV by dragon Peter Jones.

Director, and co-founder of Nana’s Manners, Kathryn Baldrey-Chourio was ecstatic with the awards haul. “To win one LBC award would have been great – but four – including three Platinums is amazing! These awards are especially important to us as (suggested in the name) they are tried, tested and chosen by children. Giving children the tools they need to succeed is at the centre of everything we do. This has been a truly magnificent few months and provides the perfect springboard for launching our commercial range of cutlery.”

Since launching just last May, the cutlery has won a number of awards, including the prestigious Innovation Award from Progressive Preschool in November.

Resulting from a high interest in the cutlery from schools and nurseries, Nana’s Manners are delighted to be launching their commercial range at the Childcare Expo London. “We have had a real interest in our cutlery from schools, all too familiar with the struggles their children have using a basic knife and fork and the consequences of this. Childcare Expo is the perfect stage to launch our commercial product that will support all children in schools, nurseries and all childcare settings in becoming confident and independent at mealtimes.” – Director and co-founder Chris Baldrey-Chourio.
