Childcare Expo Midlands has announced that Tracy Brabin, MP for Batley and Spen and Shadow Early Years Minister, will be officially opening the show when it returns in September later this year, before taking to the stage to

give a free keynote speech to visitors.

The longest running event for the early years and primary education sectors will be returning to Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th September, and already has a packed line-up of industry experts and leading early years suppliers scheduled to appear at the event.

In her keynote speech, Tracy will be contributing her understanding of the early years sector and outlining how she believes government policy should work for settings. This will be followed by a full programme of CPD seminars and interactive workshops for visitors to take advantage of throughout the two days.

Some of the biggest names in education are due to give seminars at the show, including Stella Louis, Dr Sue Allingham, Julie Revels, Marion Nash and Lorna Fitzjohn from Ofsted, while the workshop area will be filled with creative and interactive sessions for visitors to get involved in throughout the two days. Former children’s TV presenter, Dave Benson Phillips, will also be making an appearance at the show, keeping the crowds entertained with his funny stories and nonstop energy.

New feature areas popping up at the Midlands event this year include Your Business Café – giving visitors the opportunity to sit down with a free cake and coffee whilst getting free professional advice from business experts, as well as the Health and Wellbeing Zone – aiming to promote the importance of nutrition, mental health and physical wellbeing in children. A programme of sessions will also be running in the zone’s performance area, including the chance to learn the Healthy Eating Song on the ukulele with Ben Faulks (also known as Mr Bloom from CBeebies!).

Childcare Expo Midlands promises to present visitors with a host of resources, inspiration, and most of all motivation to take back to their early years settings and primary schools; helping practitioners continue to develop both personally and professionally, while providing a great day out for everyone working in the early years and beyond.

The Midlands 2018 event is set to be one of the biggest to date, and visitor registration is NOW OPEN! To get your free tickets, click here or call our team on 01425 838393.
